Our History

Premier Technology (as it was previously known), was founded in 1991 and provided a relatively simple software package to help local government organisations process their expense claims and improve their compliance. Based in a converted mill in Manchester, the business went from strength to strength, adding more public sector organisations and developing further software functionality to help organisations process expenses ever more efficiently. The first 10 years saw rapid growth, and Premier Technology garnered a reputation in the market for quality software and high levels of support, it also saw the first private sector companies being added to its customer list.

Around this time it was also becoming clear that with the fast pace of IT development and the increasing use of both intranet and internet, the process of expense management would soon undergo a paradigm shift, and Premier wanted to be at the forefront of this move. The decision was taken to start from the 'ground up' and develop a whole new suite of applications based around a more scalable, efficient and industry standard framework.

PremierEnvoy was born along with this new framework and new approach, with a new modular software solution and an all new approach to expenses - 'active expense management'. Core to the new system was the belief that organisations would replace conventional paper based systems with more efficient on-demand solutions, where individuals would make expense claims online. This in turn meant that the 'expense police', that ensured claims be within policy and met guidelines, would need to be replaced with intelligent business process applications.

The EnvoyWorld suite has now been on sale for a number of years, and has matured into an offering that offers a complete solution to the expense management requirements to a wide variety of organisations.

PremierEnvoy boasts a large and varied client base, ranging from local government to police forces and office products companies to insurance companies. We pride ourselves on providing support that is both professional and friendly - there are no call queuing systems and we really 'enjoy' talking to our customers.
